Opinions: "Do Schools Kill Creativity?"

Dear students,

this is the video we have watched today in class (group B is going to watch it on Wednesday). Open your ears, and think about the way you normally give your opinion to others.

  1. I found this video really inspiring. I have lived a similar situation. When I was a little child the teacher told to my mum that I was hyperactive and I needed to burn all the energy I had inside. In this way, I started to dance and I discovered one of my passions. I could not be more agree with Sir Ken Robinson. If only every teacher thought that way, education and creativity would have changed a long time ago.

  2. Hey, Clementine! I felt kind of lonely here. Thank you for your comment. Yes, I agree completely with Mr. Robinson. Traditionally, even though children are full of life and energy, they are obliged to sit down and listen to teachers at least six hours every day, which mustn't be healthy. Instead of understanding that kids need to play, dance and run, many doctors have tried to explain their "lack of attention" as an ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and not as a obvious lack of motivation. Besides, this disorder has been proved to be wrong by other scientists... so I am happy that you started to dance and develop your skills : -)
